Traffic Tracker

I added the Live Traffic Feed widget to my blog yesterday to track people who read my blog. I'm glad to know that I'm not the only "blog stalker" out there. I usually check out the links on other people's blogs, even if I've never met the person. I find it interesting to see what's going on in other's lives. So, if you're watching me, chances are I'm probably watching you too! And just so you know, I believe I show up as Wenham, Massachusetts because I'm on my work computer :)

Girls Weekend!

This weekend I had my sister and a bunch of her friends come and stay over. We did lots of shopping at IKEA and 12 Oaks and had a lovely dinner at The Bamboo Club. It was great to have Ange in town, we don't get to spend that much time together! Especially one on one!

Time for a New Doctor

I've been saying this for months now, but I finally think it's time to find a new doctor. My mom knows the many reasons, which I won't get into here. To add to that, I was supposed to have an appointment this morning and found it odd that I didn't get the "reminder" call yesterday. Since my doctor is a half hour drive out of my way now that I've moved, I figured I'd call just to make sure. Good thing I did! Sure enough, my doctor was suddenly out of town this week. They said they had mailed me something informing me of the cancellation...don't you think they would have called too?

Now, the reason I've been putting it off for so long...it's so difficult to find a good doctor in a town that you don't know that many people! Fortunately, I got a couple recommedations...even got the same recommedation from two different girls! I think I'll check her out.

Cinci for the Weekend

This past weekend Gary and I trekked down to Cinccinati, Ohio for a couple's shower. One of his good friends is getting married in May and instead of an engagement party, her bridesmaids through a couple's shower for them. It sure was a long drive (about 4 hours each way) but luckily the whether cooperated. It was 58 degrees when we left on Sunday morning! Unfortunately, the temperature slowly dropped as we headed North!

Book Tag...You're it!

Martha book tagged me today in her post to take the closest book to me, turn to page 123, find the fifth sentence and then write the next 3 sentences in my post. The girls in my office and I have started a ChickLit book exchange so that we can get our hands on good reads without having to purchase them! I just finished The Memory Keeper's Daughter a few days ago so I signed out a new one today. Here is an excerpt from Good in Bed by Jennifer Weiner:

"Over his shoulder I could see our waiter approaching...our waiter, plus two other waiters, trailed by an anxious-looking dark-haired man with an apron tied over his suite. The manager, I presumed. Which could only mean the one thing that Andy dreaded most - namely, someone had figured out who he was."

So now that I've read the sixth, seventh, and eighth sentences on page 123 before I even started the book, I guess I'll tag someone else. Although I'm supposed to tag three people, unfortunately, I don't know too many people who blog! So the lucky person will be my sister! I know she's usually reading something!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Gary is such a sweetheart and got me beautiful red and white tulips for Valentine's Day/My Birthday. Aren't they lovely?

I also woke up this morning to presents all around the house. He is just too good to me. Thanks Gary for making me have such a wonderful birthday/Valentine's day....and it's only 10 AM! :)

Happy Birthday Courtney!

Thursday was Courtney's actual birthday so we went out for dinner to The Bamboo Club and then to The Mixx for a drink afterwards. What started out as one drink, turned into a few and we didn't leave the bar until 2 AM! It was fun though, it's nice to have a night out with the girls!

Super Bowl Sunday

Gary and I had all of our friends over on Sunday for a Super Bowl Party. Everything went perfectly, as planned. The only problem was that we couldn't get the second TV hooked up in the dining room so we had about 16 people stuffed into the living room. That and the fact that I didn't win ANY money from the squares. Emmy walked away with $50 in the first quarter while Gary's brother Mark was the big winner, taking the half, third, and fourth quarters for a grand total of $150. Better luck next year, I guess.

Triple Birthday Fun

On Saturday, we had sort of a triple birthday party for Amanda, Courtney and me. All of our birthdays are within three weeks of eachother so we thought we'd celebrate together! Amanda pulled some strings and got us a nice corner booth at the Dirty Martini in Novi. All in all, it was a great night! Thanks to all who came out to help us celebrate!

Snow Day...Sorta

Southeast Michigan is getting POUNDED with snow today! We had a winter storm warning in effect from midnight last night until 7 PM tonight! I decided to work from home today instead of battling the nasty roads! Nothing beats working in your PJ's!
