Congrats Mr. and Mrs. Pitcher!

Saturday I attended the wedding of Ryan and Jill in East Lansing. It was a little weird to be back on the MSU campus, I haven't been there in soooo long. Brought back a lot of memories from freshman year in college.

I bought a super cute dress from The Limited (actually I bought three - it was buy any two items, get one free! It would be a crime not to). The color was a gorgeous peach and I bought all gold accessories to go with it. Low and behold, during the ceremony, I look behind me and another girl has the same dress on! Same dress, same gorgeous peach, accessorized in gold. Isn't it strange how us girls get embarrassed when we see someone else wearing the same thing? We really should consider it a confirmation that our outfit IS cute if someone else is rockin' it too. So there you go...my advice for the day.

Kristie and I after the ceremony. I took ZERO pictures, can you believe it!!

The wedding and reception were beautiful and we danced the night away. Congratulations again Mr. and Mrs. Pitcher!!

Tiger's Opening Day

Opening day in Detroit is always a special occasion - sun, rain, or even snow, it's a party all day long. This year happened to fall on good Friday so most people had the day off of work anyway. We were lucky enough to snag some standing room only tickets so that we could go to the game. Of course we got down there super early to enjoy some less-than-$8 beers before the game. It was a tad chilly but at least it was sunny!
Love the beer cups at Comerica, you tell 'em!

Look who showed up to sing the national anthem - it's KID ROCK!

We eventually met up with Amanda and some of her friends. Thanks to Rebecca at Proof for the yummy shots!!

We had a hotel room for the night too - if you're looking for a place to stay downtown, I highly recommend the new Fort Shelby Doubletree. It's a little off the beaten path but not a far walk to the stadium area or jump on the People Mover if you don't feel like walkin'.

I'm glad I finally got to partake in the opening day festivities. I'm thinking it might have to be an annual event!

Final Four in the D

Ford Field hosted the Final Four this weekend. Having such a huge event in town is awesome but with Michigan State playing in it as well, the town was swarming with GREEN! The city streets were full of excitement all weekend.
Saturday we were lucky enough to be invited to a private party hosted by Messy's brother Michael at the new bar inside Comerica Park. I'm SO glad that we had the opportunity because all of the other bars in town had lines a mile long to get in the door!! We also had a perfect view of Comerica Park. It was so strange to see it completely empty!

It was pretty intense, as you can see by the faces in this picture

The day was long and we drank too many beers to count so the traditional late night Taco Bell stop was definitely necessary. The guy in the drive through definitely laughed at us when we ordered 21 tacos. We got all 21 - but they forgot my cinnamon twists. Dang.
